11/18/19- M/W 4:45-6:30pm

We began by running each hard shoe step individually, giving specific comments on each step to each dancer. We focused as a group on snappy lifting and power. Then, we ran all 3 or 2 of hard shoe dances and talked specifically about making each run through count by pushing hard and not getting tired. We ran hard shoe dances again and then spent time in small groups drilling certain pieces:

treble jigs: worked on placing the heel in the beginning of the 2nd step, locking legs on heel hold in 3rd step

hornpipe (Asher, Lilly, Julia, etc.): worked on completing step ins to make sure timing is correct

hornpipe (Carra, Cece, Shannon, etc.): worked on 3rd step opening, slowing down rhythm to make sure its correct

We also ran through set dances twice. We focused on crossing and being loud when alone.
