We started class with soft shoe. We ran each step by itself to music, then broke down third steps of both reels and slip jigs. The boys focused on the beginning of third step, making sure each piece is big and loud, while staying crossed and turned out. Reels focused on the transition between the drag and the quick 1-2-3-4. Slip jigs focused on getting off the floor on each big push in the run. We ran all three steps of soft shoe and hard shoe at the end of class and dancers were given individual comments.
