3/4 M/W 4:45-6:30

Today’s class the focus was on locking legs, pointing toes, and staying up on toes in soft shoe dances. We started with reels, and broke down the ending of the second step as many dancers were not getting off the floor on their jumps. We ran both steps of reel to music before moving on to slip jigs. Dancers were given individual comments throughout class. We finished class with some soft shoe drills to work on lines. Dancers were asked to hop on one foot across the floor while the other leg is held in front of them in line one. This proved to be much more difficult than the dancers anticipated and I encouraged them to include this drill as part of their at home practice.
